Fifth and Seventh on Sebring 12 Hour Grid for Action Express Racing
March 17, 2018After a disappointing end to the 2017 Rolex 24 At Daytona that saw the team come up one lap shy of the race victory, Mustang Sampling Racing was fully focused on making a strong comeback in 2018.
With Action Express Racing crew members moving into new roles ahead of the 2018 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, the full team was put to the biggest test of the season with the Rolex 24.
Despite some setbacks throughout the race, and some very tense moments as the team worked to make it to the finish, it was another ideal outing for the squad as the Mustang Sampling Racing Cadillac Prototype won the record-setting event, while the sister Whelen Engineering Racing entry finished second and captured the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup for the Daytona round.
It took the dedication of everyone on the crew to make the drive to Victory Lane possible as the team secured its third title in the prestigious endurance classic.
